Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting and selling products and services (channel sales).


Responsibilities:

Sales

  • Constantly seek out new revenue generating opportunities to ensure that sales targets are met
  • Identify client markets and design a sales strategy to fit each client's requirements
  • Advise on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
  • Represent Mustek at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations (networking and sales endeavours)
  • Actively solicit for all Mustek product opportunities, referring leads as appropriate (networking endeavours).
  • Drive sales of all Mustek products, by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant sales opportunities (measurable by growth in channel sales).
  • Identify new markets and business opportunities and convert dormant customers to active customers, whilst servicing existing customers.
  • Gather customer information and provide feedback on future buying trends (participation in strategy development).
  • Maximise sales opportunities during special promotions.
  • Provide forecast to Sales Manager Bi-week on closed and potential sales.

Training and Development

  • Product/service related training to be completed and attended as and when necessary (attendance register/certificates/results)
  • Provide product/service knowledge internally where required

Customer Service

  • Visit 80% of allocated customer database quarterly (Report).
  • Ensure that no more than 2 complaints are lodged monthly (telephonic or written).
  • Meet the adequate level of contact with existing customers as may be necessary to maintain/increase. levels of business activity.
  • Respond to messages received through e-mail or telephone. Take steps to ensure messages are being responded to when not available (surveys or customer complaints).
  • Actively work towards the company values.
  • Ensure the customers/client care policies are adhered to always.
  • Ensure professional customer/client interaction always.
  • Provides customers with necessary product and basic technical support.

Business Development

  • Obtain 3 new customers in each quarter of the FY (Epicor)
  • Identify new business opportunities and network on a constant basis to grow client/customer base.
  • Build relationships with customers through regular communication via e-mail, phone and visits.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Matric
  • Tertiary qualification in sales and/or marketing would be advantageous
  • Driver’s license required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales; target driven environment at similar level
